Under the Big Top

The weekend before Thad was born, the circus came to town. The big Ringling Bros. circus. We thought the kids would really enjoy it, and figured this might be the last time we get to do something like this for awhile. It was quite entertaining. We especially enjoyed the elephants!, though I think Hollace would probably say her favorite part was the cotton candy. (It oughta be at $12 a pop!!)
I couldn't figure out why the first few pics were blurry, then I discovered the fingerprints all over the lens!
We did get this lovely hat as a "free" gift with cotton-candy. This made it WELL worth the $12!

Goofy-faced Rhett

The kids thought this was too funny when this elephant sat on the other one.
Neither of the kids were too sure about this clown. Notice the safe distance they maintained.

Yes, that is a child-leash on Rhett. I am not ashamed to leash my child!

I took the kids to see that same show here in VA about 3 years ago. I guess they have recession prices on that cotton candy, we paid $20 and got no free hat!

I think the fingerprints make a very nice photo effect! And I'm not fond of clowns myself!

Great pics! My kiddos love going to the circus! I think the leash is a great idea, you wouldn't want to lose your little cutie pie! Miss you and hope everything is going smoothly!

Looks like fun! From what I hear about little Rhett, he is quite the escape artist...I would leash him too ( I saw the door knob covers in your previous post)!!!

Tell Brent that Kandace and I ran into Hawkins yesterday...that's right, Jimmy Hawkins! His kid goes to the same daycare that we are putting our kids into. CRAZY, huh?

Wish I could have gone to the circus with you! And I think the cotton candy and hat were well worth the price!
