I can't believe my baby is three months old today. It seems like only yesterday he was born, but I can't even remember how it was before he was here! He is a sweet baby, even though he is probably the fussiest of my babies. He just likes to be held-and who doesn't, I guess! I have concluded that he HATES his carseat, which is a little frustrating since we spend a fair amount of time in the car. He is also VERY stubborn! He does NOT give up. There will be no "crying it out" for him. He just cries until he gets his way-NEVER cries himself to sleep. Brent thinks he got the stubbornness from me-WHAT??
He smiles at us and coos and likes to be held by his big sis when mom is busy and is pretty tolerant of his big brother who just loves to be in his face!
He has slept over 9 hours a couple of times in the past week or so, but it's definitely not a routine yet. Sometimes 4 hours is his long stretch. I never know what I'm going to get when I put him down for the night. Either way, we love our sweet baby Thad!!!
I snapped a few pictures of him tonight during and after his bath. I couldn't decide which expression I like the best, so I'll just post them all.

Best Buddies
Our addition here is FULL of little girls. There are LOTS of girls about Hollace's age right on our street. She has a ball! One of the little girls right across the street has a little brother, John David. He is the ONLY little boy near us and he is 4. He and Rhett have become good friends. It is too cute the way they play together. I guess Rhett has never really had a real "friend", besides the ones he plays with at the nursery, etc. He and John David have lots of fun, wrestling, playing in the mud, on the swing set, riding scooters and playing trucks. Aren't they cute?
Speaking of buddies, here are another pair. I know someday they will be quite the pals.
Just a pic of Mr. Thad at about 12 weeks. He is so sweet!-and feeling much better. I don't think his reflux is GONE, but I can tell a big difference with the medications.
Look at those blue eyes! I'm sure they will still change. He would sort of look like the odd man out with blue eyes in this family. I don't remember when the other kids' changed...

Happy Easter
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter. Remember our Lord and Savior today and His death on the cross so that we might have eternal life with Him. Praise Him for conquering death and sin in His resurrection! Celebrate our Living God today!
Not the best picture, but a pretty good depiction of what our lives are like right now.

"SelEGGtive" hunting!
Last Friday we went to an Easter Egg hunt with my MOPS group. It was really cold and I admit I was not real EGGcited about going, but I didn't want to deprive the kids. So we got our coats on and went. I didn't get any action pictures of the hunt, but here are the kids a little later with their haul.
Well when the hunt started, Rhett walked up to some eggs in the grass. (they were not really hidden. Most of the kids were pretty little, so the eggs were basically just lying all around in the grass.) He just stared at them and wouldn't pick them up. Hollace and I tried to explain to him that he could put them in his basket and take them home, that they had candy inside. Hollace even picked up a couple and put them in his basket for him. He immediately took them out and threw them back on the ground, saying he didn't want those. He left and came to another group of eggs and picked just one up and put it in his basket. I watched him do this for a little while, picking one from a group and leaving many other eggs behind. Finally, I figure out what he was doing........
Yes, he ONLY wanted the BLUE eggs. He didn't get near as many eggs as the other kids, but he was happy with his basket of blue eggs.
So what was "selEGGtive" about the hunt??
Yes, he ONLY wanted the BLUE eggs. He didn't get near as many eggs as the other kids, but he was happy with his basket of blue eggs.
Here are Hollace's more colorful selections.

All Dressed Up and No Place To Go
Mr. Thad is over 2 months old now. How time flies. He is really smiling at us lately and I finally captured some pictures today. He just happened to be all dressed up with a tie on too!
Poor Thad has been diagnosed with a severe case of "infant reflux". This is a new, NOT FUN, experience for us, as neither of the other two ever had any of this. He had a REALLY hard time for awhile last week. He just cried a lot. It was not your normal newborn, fussy crying, but an "I am in PAIN" cry! It was very sad. Any of you who have ever had bad heartburn know this is miserable. It was SO sad to see him hurting like that. It was also very hard for me because there wasn't ANYTHING that soothed him, except nursing. He wanted to eat ALL the time and I felt like all I did was nurse for a few days. This made it feel better for a short time. Then he just got too full, and the reflux got worse- like a vicious cycle. Anyway, we have him on some medication now that has helped a lot!
Other than that he is a typical two month old....eating and sleeping, with a little smiling and cooing now and then.
