Volleyball, Baseball and Good Friends in The BIG D

In April Hollace had her final volleyball tournament of the season.
We decided to go down on Friday evening and catch and Rangers game.

The tournament was Saturday and Sunday.
It was HUGE with over 100 courts of volleyball going on at once!

Somehow I did a really poor job of taking pictures of Hollace playing.
I took more pictures of the kids being silly with this giant inflatable volleyball than I did of Hollace actually playing. Oops!

They played hard and had a good time. There was some really tough competition at this tournament!
On our way home we stopped in McKinney in our old neighborhood to visit some great friends that we miss a lot!- The Maliskas family!

It didn't take long for Hollace and Anna Leah to get back to their old ways of being so silly together!

Me and my sweet friend, Alanda!
Our visit reminded us how much we miss them!

EASTER 2014

We had a wonderful Easter this year.

The week before Easter Hollace had a market day at school and had to make something to market and sell. We made this yummy Easter bark.

On Friday night one of our friends had the great idea to do a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt.
This isn't a good pic, but we were trying to show the glowing eggs.
Rhett had baseball practice that night so Brent and the boys missed out on the first hunt and the pictures. They came later and we hunted some more. Here are the rest of the kiddos.

Hollace was asked to sing with a small group of girls in the three services Easter weekend at our church. She was so excited about it and they did SUCH a great job!!
Here they are at rehearsal and the Saturday night service.

Sunday morning before church the kids got to see what the Easter bunny left and hunt for eggs.

The kids used their new Easter baskets that Nana made for them.

After church we went to lunch with Grammy and Papa who had come for the weekend.

After lunch I tried to get a few photos of the kids.
One of them was a little more cooperative than the others so she got a few more pics!

FSJ Volleyball

Hollace decided to play "Club" volleyball this year. She really enjoyed playing with Girl's Inc. for a few seasons and decided to try it on a little more "serious" level. They practiced twice a week and played several tournaments. A few of them were pretty close by and they traveled to Tulsa and Dallas for a few bigger ones.  It was a lot different from Girl's Inc., where everyone played the same amount of time and just rotated around the court.

The team made up a cute little cheer they did before every match. The girls took turns being in the center of the circle.
The girls started off the season doing GREAT! They were winning every tournament they entered.
There were a lot of great girls on the team and they had such a fun time!
The girls had such a great time passing the down time at the tournaments.

 The girls LOVE Coach Antonela!

The girls would choose a theme for practice on Thursday.
They had a lot of fun with it. I think this one was "Clown day".

Toward the end of the season Coach Antonela decided the girls needed to play up in the 12s division for more of a challenge. It definitely was more of a challenge and they didn't sweep through the tournaments like they had been, but they still did a great job.
It was a successful season and she plans on trying out again next year!
