The Shooting Range

While we were in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving break, we went to the shooting range in Mooreland for some shooting fun. The boys love to do this. I think the men were having a pretty good time themselves!:)

"A New Year, A New You" Cotillion

The theme for the January Cotillion was "A New Year, A New You".
They worked some more on the dances they have learned and had a another lesson about manners and etiquette.
Here's Hollace dancing with yet another boy who is shorter than her;)
It doesn't seem to bother her too much.
 Being escorted to the refreshments
This is the whole group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders-
  Hollace and her friend Lauren-
-Just one event left for her first year of Cotillion.

Leader of the Month: Thad

Thad was selected as Leader of the Month for December.
He was SO PROUD and seriously TOO CUTE for words!
His teacher says he is a GREAT student- that he is always anxious to participate and be involved. She was on vacation the day of the presentation, but here is Thad with the principal and assistant principal.

Oh my goodness....I love this precious Kindergartener so much and we are SO proud of him!!

Branson in Lights

The weekend before Christmas we took a quick trip to Branson. We have heard about all the lights and how pretty it is at Christmas time, so we decided to brave the cold and check it out.
We went to see the play Jonah at the Sight and Sound theater, did a little shopping......
...and of course went to Silver Dollar City

We enjoyed warming up with some hot apple cider...

The kids didn't want to wait in line to see Santa, so we made do with this statue;)

It was a great time, despite the cold and crowds. Thad was tall enough to ride everything except one ride. All our kids are little thrill seekers, so we spent all our time on the big rides, no kiddie rides for them. They didn't even want to stay for the parade. It was getting really dark and cold! I was happy to head back to our warm hotel, but it does make me a little sad that they are growing up so much that we are pretty much past kiddie rides, visiting Santa and parades:(
Where does the time go?
