I'm sure it's not news to anyone who actually reads this blog, but......
Yes, we are moving- again.
For the second time in a year and a half.
This is a very unexpected change. Brent was not looking for a job AT ALL. I mean, we had only been here a year and a half, and we really like it here, but God sort of laid an opportunity in his lap. Brent got offered a job with a different company. While it was a big decision to leave his current job/company, it just really feels like this is what we're suppose to do.
SO....Brent will be the COO for Mercy in Fort Smith, Arkansas and we are moving there- this week.
Everything seems to be going smoothly. We went to Fort Smith a few weeks ago and found a house. We put our house here in McKinney on the market on a Thursday and had FOUR offers on it by Saturday afternoon.
We are not really thrilled about moving the kids again-especially in the middle of the school year, but feel like it would be a too long for us to stay after Brent moves. So far the kids are doing really well with it and actually seem excited. We were afraid Hollace would take it hard just because she's older and she has so many great friends here, but she has taken it like a champ! She is really easy going and outgoing-which is such a blessing.
I'll keep you posted with how it goes.
On a little side note.......
Last weekend Brent and Scott went on a ski trip with our church to Steamboat Springs, CO. I snapped this picture when I dropped them off at the airport about 5:00am.
Since Brent was gone for the weekend, the kids and I took a little road trip. We met my parents at my sister's house in Harrah. The kids had a good time with their cousins.
That night the boys and I shared a bed. We tried to take a picture with my phone. It was pitch black and we couldn't even see the phone, then when the flash would go off it was so bright it nearly blinded us and we couldn't keep our eyes open. The boys thought is was sooo funny! and kept asking me to do it over and over.
The main reason we took the little trip was so that Hollace, my mom, and I could go to fabric stores to pick out material for her new comforter. My mom offered to make her a new comforter for her new room. It's going to be really cute!! We can't wait to see it finished!
Saturday night we stayed with our friends, the Carpenters. Hollace was very excited to see her friend, Brynn.
I can't believe how big they are getting.
