Venice: Part 2

Here is some more of the amazing time we had in Venice.

The beautiful views were everywhere.
 There was LOTS of shopping-
Lots of these little shops selling Venetian Theater masks and costumes. They were interesting to look at and we ended up bringing home one of the cool looking masks for Hollace.

While wandering around we stumbled on this huge beautiful old church that was housing a temporary show of musical instruments from the 1600's.

I'm not sure what this is.........other than a really big weird head sculpture.

We had to stop for Gelato!!....a couple times.....or three or four......or

 The Grand Canal

I had to get a picture of the famous gondolas.
We actually decided not to ride one. We basically had a private boat tour of Venice when we had to ride to private water taxi from the bus station, due to the transportation strike. It was pretty much the same- except it moved a little faster. Well, that and we didn't have a guy in stripes and a red hat singing to us.
 More strolling through the streets.
There were these little amazing cafes everywhere.
.........and amazing views around every corner!
This was one night we went out to a nice restaurant.

I think we topped off that wonderful meal, and many others, with some chocolates.....
....and a little cappuccino! It didn't take long for us to get use to Italian life!
