Another school year has come and gone.
The kids had the usual end of year award ceremonies and parties.
Rhett was the boy chosen for the Leadership award in his class!
He also got an award for AR points! Way to go Rhett!!
He wanted a picture with a couple of buddies from his class:)
Hollace got awards for highest grades in Literacy, Science, Math and Principal's Honor Roll!
I think this picture is actually from a previous ceremony, but look how she is taller than her 5th grade teacher..
They don't do awards for Kindergarten, but they got to have a little Fun Day outside with inflatables.
I came one last time to eat with the kids at lunch, the last week of school.
They love for me to come eat with them. Well- maybe they just like the fast food I bring;)
I'm so thankful that I'm able to come to all their awards ceremonies and parties, and just come to eat with them now and then!
Here is Hollace on her last full day at Elementary School.
I can't believe she will be at the Middle School next year!
(Side Note: That day after school we met Brent at the post office to get passports for our Summer vacation to Mexico! We can't wait!)
The kiddos on their last day of school. It was a half day and lots of people skip it, but it was the Fun Day for the 5th graders and Hollace didn't want to miss it, so they all went.
This year, Thad graduated from the preschool area at church to the BIG KIDS side!
On Sunday, they brought them in together from the children's area, introduced them and presented them with an Adventure Bible.
Just as they were calling Thad's name, a little girl came in late and came up front and joined them near the stage. All the children's workers were trying to communicate with the one reading the names, to give them her name, since she wasn't on the list. In the confusion, they missed handing Thad his Bible. It was heartbreaking watching him look around and look at the other kids' bibles, wondering why he didn't get one. It was all I could do to not stand up and yell for them to give him a bible!
Once they were back in the Children's area, they realized what had happened and got him his Bible. All was good again!
They are growing up so fast.
It seems that this school year just started.
Now it's over and another will be starting before we know it!
