Schoooools Out For Summerrrr!

School is finally out here in North Texas! Our last day was this past Thursday. We are pretty excited to start the summer fun, but here are some pictures from all the end of school festivities.

A couple weeks before school was out Hollace was one of the students chosen from her school to have her art work on display at the school district's art show.

Here is Rhett having fun at Field Day at his preschool during the last week of school.

Hollace had a Poetry Celebration at school where they each got to read a couple of the poems they had written. Each student also got a special little award from the teacher. She just told about some things that made each student special and what she was going to miss about each student. Mrs. Matthews said that if she ever had to be gone that she knew Hollace could probably run the classroom by herself. I believe it.

Rhett and Thad had a little performance on the last day of school and the Pre-K kids got little diplomas. The program had a sort of "Patriotic" theme and the kids all wore red, white, and blue. I didn't have a very good seat and didn't get any good video, but each class sang a few songs. In Thad's case he stood up on the stage with a pouty face for a few songs.

I tried to get a picture of Thad with his two teachers, but of course he wouldn't cooperate. I don't think he knew what we were making a big deal about. I am going to miss all their pre-school teachers. They were so good to the boys!

One more with Mrs. Betsy. As were driving away he said "Mom, I already miss Ms. Betsy". She really is so sweet!
