For those of you who don't know, I have occasional addictions to certain kinds of candy. I really don't eat candy all that often, except when one of these addictions strike. Several months ago I could not get enough "Junior Mints". I was stopping and buying them so often at quick stops, I decided to buy a case on e-bay to save time and money. Yes, a CASE-of 24 movie theater size boxes of Jr. Mints. Unfortunately, the cravings ended shortly after the case arrived. Therefore, I have about 20 boxes in my pantry. My latest addiction is to "Robin Eggs". You know, the speckeled malt balls from "Whopper". Again, my timing was not great and my cravings started just after Easter, when they were no longer available at most stores. I looked high and low for any remaining eggs, and did find a few last bags/boxes, but not enough. Again I resorted to E-bay. It's crazy, I know. I will not tell you how much I paid for this HUGE bag, but I was desparate. A few days after the bag arrived, a friend of mine that I work with in the PACU, Sonya, brought me this case of miniature cartons of the eggs. She found them at the grocery store at Seiling!! She loves me!!-and I should be set for a while. I know it is CRAZY, but thought some of you might enjoy hearing about this little problem I have!

"My name is Hilary and I'm a candy-aholic."

Easily Amused
The other day I cut off some jeans that were too short, into capris. I was not paying attention and Hollace took the piece of cut off pant leg and put it on like a skirt. It was SOOOO tight and SOOOOO short. It just cracked me up. I guess I am easily amused, but it looked so funny on her little body. She begged to wear the "skirt" to the Dr's. office that day. (She didn't get to). It has been worn several times since then (at home) and even showed up in one of the "Dancing with the Stars" costumes. Maybe you had to be there, but I really got a kick out of it!

"Jesus is Our Friend"
Hollace's choir group sang in church last Sunday. They sang "Jesus is Our Friend". They were so cute.
They went on stage just before church started, so they had to stand up there for several minutes before it was actually time to sing. As you can see below, it was very hard for them to stand still and quiet during that time.
The song had some motions to go along with the words, that were very cute.

Happy News to Share
There is nothing too exciting going on around here, but we do have some good news to share. Brent's sister, Juana, and her husband, Colby, are expecting. She is due in November she thinks. This will be Hollace and Rhett's first cousin, so we are excited. It will be fun for them, and maybe it will also spread the spoiling around a little. My two kids are the only two grandchildren on both sides so far, so as you can imagine, they are more than a little spoiled.
Here are a couple of pics from the other day of my "little helper". When I am cleaning, Rhett likes to get his own rag and clean along with me. It keeps him busy for a few minutes anyway.

Dancing with the Stars--or just Daddy
Hollace LOVES to watch "Dancing with the Stars". Every time it's on, she makes Brent dance with her. After each dance she comes to me and I have to give them a score and pointers, etc. like they do on the show. Then she runs into her room and changes outfits, like the stars do. Then she's back for the next dance and we do it all again. It is all pretty funny and Brent is usually worn out by the end of the show.
This particular outfit is a little revealing. Thankfully her arm was covering her in the pic. It is actually a long tutu she had pulled up under her arms. It slid down during the lift.
Brent the Barber
While scrapbooking the other day, I realized I didn't have any pictures of Rhett's first haircut. Then I realized the reason is that I had to hold Rhett while Brent cut his hair. It took both of us so there was no one to take pics. When Rhett first needed a cut, Brent assumed he would do it. He cut his friends' hair in college, so he thought he was more than qualified. I reminded him that his friends probably cooperated better than a baby would. Actually he did a pretty good job, so he has been doing it since. Rhett now kind of likes it, and stands still like a big boy. He stands really still and kind of shrugs his shoulders up. I think it tickles a little. It is so cute. Anyway, here are his first haircut pics (but not his first haircut).
