Red, White, and Blue

I realize it's August, it's never too late to be patriotic, right? :)

This year on the third we went to a cookout at the home of some friends. The kids had a great time playing in the water and doing fireworks.

 On the morning of the Fourth, we experienced our first neighborhood bike parade. It was pretty simple. The kids decorated their bikes, met at the park, and rode around the neighborhood. They really enjoyed it though and got to go a back to the park for watermelon afterward.

We went to the Country Club that night for a fireworks show, then called it a night!
